/STEP 9- FORSAKING THE APPROVAL OF PEOPLE.
Approval from others may never come, so don't waste your time waiting for their accolades. You need to be willing to risk your reputation for your dream. You are only competing with yourself and no one else. People come and go, but you will always be stuck with you! Learn from other famous people's mistakes; if the world crowns you, they have the power to dethrone you! Think about the life cycle of the superstars! Don't be a people pleaser; be a God pleaser. People will call you names, and some might even persecute you.
Remember David and Goliath? Joseph and his dreams? Even the people closest to you might consider you inadequate, crazy, or arrogant. It will be a colossal mistake to expect and feed on the approval of others if you want to achieve anything tangible. Remember to trust in the Lord only. Only a few friendships last a lifetime; most relationships are for a season and for a reason. Mentors are helpful; if God needs you to have a godly mentor, he will lead you to one!
