Accept his ways. When in doubt, let God’s way and his Word be the final authority. We all need to study his Word to get familiar with his ways. God’s ways are different from popular culture for the most part. If popular culture had the answer, then we would have more successful people on the street.
Sometimes, God’s ways might sometimes seem stupid. For example, your financial advisors say keep more to have more, but God says give more to have more. Since God is the alpha and omega, he knows better than even the best minds in any field. That doesn't mean we should abandon our reasoning faculty or formal education. Our education can be very useful too, but when conflicted about worldly wisdom and Godly wisdom, just follow God’s plan. We also need to be willing to accept God’s correction when he corrects us.
