Acing 2018 Step 5- Undivided Attention

STEP 5- APOKARADOKIA, UNDIVIDED ATTENTION

Apokaradokia is a Greek word, which means “to maintain focus at all cost”.
Apo means “to turn away with concentration, ignoring other interests and distractions”. Kara means “head”. Dokia means “to stretch forward”. Apokaradokia means to stretch out your neck, readjust your focus as often as necessary, and not to lose sight of the vision to attain the goal. It means to have an eager expectation of success and doing what needs to be done to achieve it despite the prevailing situation.

Have you ever seen competitive runners stay focused on the end line? The goal set before them! Many ignore the leg cramps and the other runners; they remain oblivious to the cheers and stretch their necks out just to reach the finish line. Any vision worth pursuing is not easy; it might need you stretching yourself a bit by staying up longer, saving more, and depriving yourself of some luxury just to achieve your goal!
