Lesson Eight- Marriage Material or Not?
/Not everyone is marriage material, don't be fooled. I am aware of a few men and women who do not like the requirements of marriage and are not willing to do the work! Some people thoroughly enjoy their singleness. Unfortunately a few of these people end in marriages with other people. I have encountered some in clinical setting.
Typically they do not want to change anything about their lives or give up anything, they do not want to share anything or be accountable to anyone and typically marry because of societal pressure or family pressure just to fulfill all righteousness. I recall one man treating his wife like a room mate expecting her to split the bills 50-50 in all situations. The wife couldn't even use his toothpaste , only to find out he married her just to please his mother and prove he was a man. I also know of women who just don't want to be wives or mothers but cave into societal pressure only to hate marriage every step of the way. Are you really ready for marriage?
